Trump admin prioritizes the war on fraud, likely saving Americans billions
The Trump administration has rightly gone after billions of dollars in alleged waste and fraud during this term. The purge began with Elon Musk’s DOGE and continues with Vice President J.D. Vance’s Anti-Fraud Task Force.

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign in 2024 promised several big-ticket items: a secure border, economic stability, and the draining of the proverbial political swamp.
“This is the final battle,” he declared. “With you at my side, we will demolish the Deep State, we will expel the warmongers from our government, we will drive out the globalists, we will cast out the communists, Marxists and fascists, we will throw out the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news media, and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.”
Headline items like immigration and deportation have been a huge success for the Trump administration. As reported by LindellTV, the Trump administration has worked overtime to seal the border, stop the flood of illegal migration, clamp down on drug and human trafficking, and rescue countless victimized children.
On the economy, President Trump has netted trillions of dollars of investments from companies and countries all over the world – a feat that is spurring a manufacturing boom for the auto industry, for example, and in the development of AI data centers.
There is also one other area of triumph for the administration that is worth noting: the battle against fraud.
Expunging fraud began with DOGE
Before SpaceX CEO and tech visionary Elon Musk departed the White House last summer, the DOGE commission uncovered serious evidence of jaw-dropping fraud. Examples, according to the official DOGE website, included a whopping $251 billion estimated savings by rooting out alleged fraud, improper payments, and so forth across many federal agencies. More than 13,400 contracts were terminated, per the site, amounting to $61 billion in savings. These contracts were just like anything else related to the federal government – overpriced and apparently unnecessary.
Another 15,887 grants were axed ($49 billion in savings), along with the termination of 264 leases ($113 million in savings), per DOGE.
Since Musk’s full-time return to the private sector, the reins on exposing fraud have been handed over to Vice President J.D. Vance, and he deserves credit for doing the best he can to carry on.
“Just since the beginning of the Fraud Task Force that I started under the president’s leadership and direction, we have identified $230 billion of fraud that’s being perpetrated against the American people, and we have halted, already, $56 billion of that,” Vance stated during a recent Cabinet meeting at Camp David.
The numbers are truly shocking, and yet, Vance and Trump’s Cabinet heads continually discover more fraud as the days go on.
“It’s sometimes hard, once the money has already gone out the door, it’s hard to get it back, but stopping it from going out the door is how we saved the American people $56 billion and of course we’re going to keep on working on that,” Vance remarked. “Just today, Mr. President, we will announce 17 new anti-fraud actions that will total about a third of a billion dollars, and that’s added to the $230 billion that we’ve already uncovered.”
An ongoing fight
True to the vice president’s word, the Department of Justice announced last week a series of fraud enforcement actions across several states – 17 cases across seven states, to be exact.
According to the DOJ, the cases involve more than $350 million “in intended losses and include cases involving SNAP benefits, Small Business Administration loans, housing benefits, and tax fraud.”
The list goes on. Between allegations of eye-popping Medicaid fraud in states like California and New York and reports of insanely high levels of potential fraud in Minnesota’s Somali community, it seems as if the federal government has become nothing but a money-making mafia for elites and shadow players.
Who could forget the alleged $50 million that was slated to be sent to Gaza to fund the purchasing of condoms? Musk’s DOGE uncovered this absurdity. How about the findings suggesting that the Social Security system was harboring massive fraud, as well? The president in 2025 cited people enrolled in the program who were hundreds of years old, for example – an obvious impossibility.
If nothing else, the Trump administration’s war against fraud, while it may represent just the tip of the iceberg, has at least pulled the curtain back on the seedy underbelly of just how inefficient the federal apparatus has been for many years.
The powerful elite care nothing for the American taxpayer – they care only to enrich themselves and their friends. The Trump administration deserves credit for exposing this repugnant behavior within the federal government and at least taking action to prosecute crimes as they are discovered.
