Trump Awareness
By Rich Loudenback
I am one of President Trump’s biggest fans. He might truly deserve a spot on Mount Rushmore should he continue righting America. His giant ego is fed with incredible accomplishments and a true patriot’s backbone. However, who among us is perfect?
Having spent 8 years with a management consulting company, I know first-hand how critical it is to have the right advisors. 47’s advisers are aces above 45’s. But, are they perfect?
You gotta wonder when you consider the following:
Speaking of George Soros
1. Secretary of Treasury, Scott Bessent
Bessent spent decades working with his buddy George Soros as a hedge fund manager becoming an influential member of Soros’ team. Newsweek reported; “Scott Bessent played a pivotal role in the “Black Wednesday” trade of 1992, when Soros famously “broke the Bank of England” by betting against the British pound. This trade earned Soros’s team over $1 billion and solidified Soros’s reputation as a formidable figure in global finance.”
It’s interesting that we are seeing Bessent as frequently as we are, like a spokesman, in so many different venues, unlike past Secretaries. All this unusual exposure appears to me to be elevating him. What’s going on with that?
You should know that Scott Bessent is a current member of the Council on Foreign Relations. That is a very bad thing. See: Council on Foreign Relations: The ‘Real’ Deep State Leaders, “In Their Own Words”
Also, see: CFR Member Roster
2. Proposed Sovereign Wealth Fund Is A Really Bad Idea
Howard Lutnick, Department of Commerce (DOC) (with his own interests in Bitcoin), and Scott Bessent intend to create a Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF).
Karen Schumacher reports in her article ‘What Is Left After the Finale’:
“A SWF is a “state-owned investment fund comprised of’ money generated by the government…” and provides “a benefit for a country’s economy and its citizens.” Lutnick has already declared his desire to use U.S. natural assets as his own collateral and intent to add those assets to the federal ‘balance sheet.’
In his EO, President Trump lists those natural assets as ones “that can be invested” for “long term wealth.” So foreign entities and global corporations will be given the opportunity to “invest” money in America’s forests, minerals, land or other natural assets. Different types of natural asset investments include buying the resource. As Bessent stated, “We’re going to monetize the asset side of the U.S. balance sheet for the American people,” that is, convert America’s natural assets into a price tag for the highest bidder.”
I hear Coach Vince Lombardi shouting “What the Hell is Going On Here?!!!
3. Trump should acknowledge shortcomings of desired ‘Gold Card’
Having read Trump’s great book ‘Art of the Deal’ and knowing full well how effective he’s been and how much he yearns to succeed I, again, really do have to reflect on the old adage ‘Who among us is perfect? I believe President Trump wants to accomplish so much he is stretching for possibilities and really hasn’t considered the strong, make that foolish, dangers in the Gold Card dream. Since Lutnick is such a promoter of this I’m also wondering about his credibility.
The New American’s senior editor, Veronika Kyrylenko in her article ‘Trump’s “Gold Card” Scheme: U.S. Residency for $5 Million’:
“Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick joined Trump in pitching the “Gold Card.” He clarified that the new scheme would replace the existing EB-5 investor visa program — a system that has allowed foreigners to invest as little as $800,000 in exchange for U.S. residency. He said,
“The EB-5 program … it was full of nonsense, make-believe and fraud, and it was a way to get a green card that was low-price. So, the president said, rather than having this sort of ridiculous EB-5 program, we’re going to end the EB-5 program. We’re going to replace it with the Trump “Gold Card.”
Indeed, the EB-5 program has faced significant criticism due to instances of fraud and misuse. Critics argue that the program has allowed wealthy individuals to obtain U.S. residency through financial investments, sometimes without delivering the expected economic benefits to the country.
While Lutnick framed the new scheme as an upgrade, he spoke of no clear safeguards to prevent the very abuses he accused EB-5 of enabling.
Lutnick simply assured that “Gold Card” holders would be “vetted” to ensure they are “wonderful, world-class global citizens.”
Reducing the Deficit?
The “Gold Card” proposal was unveiled on the same day that Republicans passed a “big, beautiful” budget resolution. That document is proudly advancing Trump’s “America First” agenda — while simultaneously raising the national debt limit by $4 trillion.
Trump and Lutnick presented the “Gold Card” as a fiscal fix to the growing deficit. Lutnick, drawing a contrast between existing immigration programs and this new pay-to-play model, asked:
‘Why do we give out lotteries of green cards? Why do we give out EB-5s for green cards?… Why won’t we eliminate the deficit of the United States of America instead?”
Trump took it even further, suggesting that if the United States sells a million or more of these cards, the country could generate at least $5 trillion in revenue. It’s an ambitious claim, relying on the assumption of high demand. It also assumes the government will use the revenue to reduce the deficit rather than absorb it elsewhere.
“Global Citizens” and the Risks of Abuse
Lutnick’s claim that applicants would be “world-class global citizens” raises serious concerns. Who decides what makes people “world-class,” or “global citizens”? More importantly, where does their loyalty lie? The phrase suggests these individuals could lack commitment to the United States. Instead, they would represent an elite international class whose interests transcend national borders. If that’s the case, what does America truly gain by granting them residency — and eventual citizenship?
Fraud, Laundering, and Security Risks
The “Gold Card” visa, in its current vague form, is open to abuse. Similar programs have enabled money laundering, fraud, and security threats. Without safeguards, it could become a backdoor for criminals and foreign adversaries. Thus, strong vetting and oversight would be critical.” – End quote from Veronika Kyrylenko
Vince Lombardi is still shouting in my ear!
4. Quantity of Democrat Representatives and Senators from Canada
Should Canada miraculously overnight become our 51st state, has Trump reasoned how off-setting their new US representatives and senators would affect the voting balance in congress. The democrats should be begging them to join us. I want to believe that Trump most certainly is aware of this and is just jerking their chain.
Attack Trudeau not Canada
Having spent a good bit of time all over Canada I saw first-hand the vivid differences between them and us. They are a lot like us but they have gotten very used to Trudeau’s socialism. The first thing you notice in Canada is how many bus stops there are full of people waiting for rides to their apartments and there being much fewer small businesses than we have and how many big box stores we never heard of that are there. Most business people know the difference between their government’s socialism and our capitalism. However, average citizens have grown accustomed to lifestyles full of crazy regulations and government control of much more than we have ever experienced, but they are proud born citizens of ‘their’ country as we are ours.
Canada’s recent hockey win with Trudeau being present and swimming in the patriotic wave elevated his national stature a little, I believe. He is definitely not good for Canada, and they need to eject him post haste. Trump’s attacking Trudeau’s socialism and drawing attention to it would probably win over more Canadians than attacking ‘Oh Canada.’ Trudeau deserves a vicious outing of his evil edicts against his nation.
5. Greenland to 51st State
Wouldn’t you think Greenland’s citizens would be so happy to become U.S. citizens that most representatives and senators would become devout Republicans? I believe that should be one of our most important criteria in a decision to statehood them. However, Greenland as a territory would be great. I believe that taking Greenland and taking back the Panama Canal share equal priorities (See: Reclaim Our Canal! by William F. Jasper).
6. Iran’s total demise cuts off the heads of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis
Don’t concentrate on Hamas. Concentrate on cutting off their head, Iran. No warning, of any kind. Devastate their economy, take down everything that’s anything military, especially, their nuke facilities, and find a way to take out the ayatollahs if at all possible. Hamas etc.: Checkmate.
7. Trump needs to curb his zeal to make deals simply for the sake of knowing that he can without having had enough time to think out all the ramifications.
See Ron Paul’s article: ‘The US Should Not Take Over Gaza’
I really want to believe that Trump was stirring interest in the prospects Gaza has for development, knowing full well that with his credentials in successful developments worldwide, it should get others in the region to start giving his proposal serious consideration for themselves. It appears that ploy has created a strong awakening by some of the regional entities.
In closing I wish our most wonderful of Presidents the greatest of insight with key people like Bessent and Lutnick. May God truly bless 47 and keep him grounded.
