RINOS IN A NUTSHELL: Spokane’s New Batch

Citizens of Spokane are now being caught up in the mantra from people whining about the Republican Party rejecting their intended candidacies because they didn’t meet the party’s standards. Now some of them call themselves ‘real’ Republicans to sell themselves.

Some caring citizens who are trying to make a difference are being taken in by politicians who wish to be considered Republicans even though they don’t qualify as such.  Hence the moniker RINO (Republicans In Name Only).

The Republican Party Platform clearly defines their principles.

RINOs wish to go off in tangents like stating that we should create Term Limits, or promoting a new Constitutional Convention, etc. They are not followers of the platform or for that matter our incredible Constitution.  They may say they are, but check them out for what they really stand for.  They are either naïve, stupid or provocateurs.  ‘Whiny butts’ seems to fit as I see it. The fact that they may look good and seem like nice people matters not.  They are RINOs!

Former Washington State Representative, and two term Spokane County treasurer, now running for Spokane Valley City Council, Rob Chase, recently told me that the Spokane GOP Central Committee has taken on the very successful vetting process that Idaho’s Kootenai County Central Committee chairman Brent Regan invoked and has proven so successful.  I was not aware of that and was delighted to hear it.  Hence, those not passing the smell test were expunged as candidates and hence, again repeating myself, creating a new batch of whiny buttt Spokane RINOs.

There’s no magic to it.  Authentic Republicans are simply followers of our Constitution, Bill of Rights and the GOP Platform.  I call them ‘Platform Thumping Republicans.’
