Cathy turns on Trump and the Constitution

By Steve Dunham

My U.S. Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers correctly points out that the election in several states was not carried out in accordance with the Constitution.  See her statement to the Spokesman Review below.

Why was the debate ended? She says our opportunity for discussion and debate on the election was interrupted and ended by the events on Wednesday.   Why didn’t they take it up again Thursday or Friday? What more important business did they have than to uphold the Constitution concerning a Presidential election? Why would what happened Wednesday change her mind about objecting to the unconstitutional elections in many of the states? Was she threatened or did she fear for her life if she stood by the Constitution and the President?

Why didn’t she tell us, and why didn’t she object to Kamala Harris not being constitutionally qualified to be Vice President?  Why did the Republicans in both the House and Senate accept Harris’s electoral votes in violation of Article 2 and Amendment 12 of the Constitution? See Joe Wolverton article.  Nancy Pelosi says Trump is unhinged and needs to be removed from office.  Cathy joined the chorus by saying Trump needs to put an end to this madness. Really!

Madness because people expect elections to be fair, honest and Constitutional. I guess Cathy considers the 7 Senators and 120 Representatives who objected to the electoral votes from Arizona and Pennsylvania to be part of the madness.  What is really maddening is that only 7 Republican Senators out of 50 had the courage to stand by the President and the Constitution.  Of the15 Senators and Representatives from the states of Idaho and Washington only Russ Fulmer from Idaho objected. See list below.

As Americans we are more concerned about our Congressional representatives inside the Capital that disregard our values and puts our lives and livelihoods in danger than the people outside of the Capital.  She ends by saying it is time to move on!!!   To business as usual in the swamp— tax, spend and push the socialist agenda forward.

I hope you readers in Idaho will ask your Senators and Representatives these same questions and demand some answers. We need to hold these people accountable to their oath of office to uphold the Constitution. We need to follow Thomas Jefferson’s advice.  “In questions of power, then, let no more be said of confidence in man, but bind him down by the chains of the Constitution.

In a late-night vote, Congress confirmed the Electoral College vote for pro-abortion Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden. Members of the House and Senate resolved to complete the process of certifying the Electoral College after protests inside the Capitol building disrupted the process earlier in the day.

There were two votes on objecting to seating members of the Electoral College from states where President Donald Trump’s campaign and Trump voters believed there was significant election fraud that require an audit and further investigation. The first vote was on the state of Arizona and the second related to the state of Pennsylvania. Here are the lists of Senate and House members who voted against certification for each of the two states:
