Real Men Don’t Vote Democrat

Real Men Don’t Vote Democrat

Real-world heroism exposes the absurdity of the left’s (and Hollywood’s) crusade against traditional masculinity.

In the screen world two weeks ago, an iconic white male comic-book superhero, now depicted as a depressed, disgraced loser, was ignobly shot to death by his sheriff girlfriend (Lanterns, Season One, Episode 8). Being a woman, the killer went unpunished.

In the real world last week, a 36-year-old white male carpenter driving by his daughters’ Oregon elementary school saw a teen boy toss a shotgun over the school fence, scale the fence, and blast open the building’s double doors. The carpenter parked his truck, extracted a .40-caliber pistol, and, hearing gunshots, entered the school after him. He shot and killed the shooter, who had slain three special-education children ages 5,8, and 11, and a female teacher, 25, saving countless more lives.

In the real world last century, white male Hollywood producers would be competing to make a movie about the incident and its central figure with no reservations about his race, sex, or circumstances. This century, however, the feminists who rule the industry will avoid the story like the plague, as it contains everything they despise — a blue-collar white dad, his licensed gun, and manly heroism.

They have no way to spin it into an anti-white male, anti-gun, anti-Trump tale. They have no way to race-swap or gender-swap the story without suffering a worse humiliation than Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Digger – Climate Change!) and Aaron Sorkin (The Social Reckoning – January 6th!) did this month. And there has been nothing but television silence about it from Kimmel, Fallon, and Saturday Night Live. (RELATED: Hollywood Didn’t Learn Its Lesson. Then Came Digger)

SNL, of course, had its own feminist-credential problem for most of last week. Liberal shrews and beta men went berserk after non-woke guest host comedian Shane Gillis threw in a monologue quip regarding women at the gym. “I haven’t been to the gym in so long,” Gillis said. “I didn’t know women dressed like whores now.” Yes, a funny yet observant line that Norm MacDonald would have casually tossed out triggered an entertainment industry meltdown, previously covered by Daniel Flynn in this magazine. Prominent among the outraged was Dan Levy, the openly gay actor son of brilliant comedy legend Eugene Levy, who produced and starred in Dan’s only claim to minor fame, Schitt’s Creek. While Gillis sets Guinness World Records for the largest audience by a comedian, with an 85 percent male audience, nearly 80 percent under 30. No doubt they’re all atwitter about the lecturing by Levy, Kathy Griffin, and Martha Plimpton. (RELATED: Who’s Offended by Shane Gillis?)

But you can count on Bush World to fail to read the room, most recently George W. Bush’s two daughters.

They are precisely the demographic that has been abandoning the Democratic Party in droves, from 55 percent in 2020 to 56 percent in 2024, according to the Democrat-aligned firm Catalist. But you can count on Bush World to fail to read the room, most recently George W. Bush’s two daughters. “Who is he (Gillis) to comment on women’s bodies?” snarled Jenna Bush Hager on her NBC show Today with Jenna and Sheinelle. The answer, Jenna, is a real man, of the type that has been commenting on women’s bodies since the Song of Solomon in the Bible: “Your two breasts are like fawns, twins of a gazelle,” “Your thighs are like jewels.”

Jenna’s twin sister goes even farther left, backing a trans-loving, pro-abortion, anti-gun, open-border Democrat weenie for Texas U.S. Senator over a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, anti-illegal alien Republican. After having supported Kamala Harris, Barbara Bush gave $7,200 to a pro-James Talarico super PAC. It’s a fitting development in the pathetic Bush political saga. (RELATED: Bush Republicanism Can’t Win the Votes We Need to Save America)

The great Ronald Reagan’s worst pre-presidential mistake was starting the Bush dynasty. Donald Trump’s greatest pre-presidential accomplishment was ending the Bush dynasty. In between came 30 years of Bush-mismanaged American decline. And I observed all of it as a gentleman of the press, beginning with the 1988 Republican Convention.

I always knew Establishment Republican Vice President George H. Bush had nothing but contempt for the world-transforming Reagan Revolution, and that night he unleashed it. We went from “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” to utter babble like “thousand points of light,” and “I want a kinder, gentler nation.” As Nancy Reagan astutely commented to her husband there, “Kinder and gentler than who?”

Bush was completely taken by surprise when the Berlin Wall fell, followed by the Soviet Union. It was he who lost Russia to a gangsterocracy ultimately ruled by Vladimir Putin. It was he who stopped the Gulf War without going into Iraq and achieving regime change. It was he who installed the repulsive far-left justice David Souter on the Supreme Court (blessedly somewhat counterbalanced by the wonderful Clarence Thomas). And it was he who astonishingly broke his only memorable political promise delivered with feeble Dirty Harry flair, “Read my lips, no new taxes.” Bush deserved to lose in 1992, and even I didn’t vote for him. (RELATED: Does the Right Still Believe in ‘No More Souters’?)

The dynasty struck back in 2000, and I supported W. I thought he was tougher, more conservative than his dad, who was actually a great World War II hero. I was wrong. Bush waged a long, inept War on Terror while continuously calling Islam a “religion of peace.” Maybe he should comment on what the religion of peace has done to France just this week.

He tried to achieve “comprehensive immigration reform.” We conservatives stopped him. He tried to put squishes Alberto Gonzales and Harriet Miers on the Supreme Court, following squish John Roberts. We conservatives stopped him, and fortunately got the outstanding Samuel Alito instead. His failed presidency led to Barack Obama taking over and seriously damaging the country. It wasn’t until 2016, when Donald Trump totally eviscerated Jeb Bush, that I knew America would be back. In two weeks, real men can help make it great again — by voting down the communist, Islamist, feminist Democrats.

What if what’s now destroying France, Europe, and Britain—and threatens to destroy America—were part of a long-term plan hatched by an anti-Western mastermind:

“The Islamic invasion of Europe without firing a shot.”

“Mass Muslim immigration. Religious fanaticism in a spiritual vacuum.”

“And did Kronos ever deliver,” said Cork. “Six hundred thousand Muslims in just the first year. Current total – six million. Factor in the reproductive rate you cited, Mark, and you achieve political domination.”

“The fall of Europe,” said Tristan.

“Don’t exclude America. Kronos hasn’t.”
