3 More Very Strong Points to Say NO to the Con-Con CON

3 More Very Strong Points to Say NO to the Con-Con CON

1. GRASS ROOTS SUPPORT – WRONG!

States Joanna Martin in her article ‘Why James Madison Trembled At the Prospect of An Article V Convention:’

The Convention of States (COS) claims to have massive grassroots support for an Article V Convention. However, there is considerable evidence that their alleged support is faked:

  • This Phony Petitions and Polls flyer tells of how, during 2018, two Idaho Legislators reported that the COS Petitions they received were digitally “signed” by some constituents who, when contacted, said they never signed. Representative Priscilla Giddings called this practice “hi-tech fraud”. Representative Dorothy Moon called it “dirty tricks”
  • In this video, Representative Pepper Ottman of Wyoming tells of how during 2023, she received hundreds of emails from alleged supporters of SJR 11 (“COS’s” application for a convention). Since the names and addresses of [alleged] senders were provided, she contacted the alleged senders and they said they didn’t send the emails!
  • In this video, Representative Sarah Penn, also of Wyoming, recounts of how she received emails in support of SJR 11 from “constituents” – but when she contacted them, they responded with comments such as, “I don’t know what this is – I didn’t send it – what is COS?”

Legislators who receive “hundreds” of emails & petitions from “COS supporters” in their District should take a good look at those emails & petitions – and call the friends and others who allegedly sent them.

Meckler’s “Convention of States Action” organization spent $10,689,465.00 for 2022 [link under “Core Financials” & the 2022 Tax Form 990 for Convention of States Action [item 18 on page 1]. What is all that money spent on?

2. ABOUT THE MONEY

HIGHLY PAID INFLUENCERS

AND THE RUSE OF CONTRIBUTIONS

States Judi Caler in her article: “Dark money[1]—not the grassroots—is behind the Convention of States organizations”:

We can only conclude that Meckler is disingenuous when he ridicules the suggestion that his organizations are funded by undisclosed multi-millionaires and billionaires. And while his organizations may well receive some small donations, he denies that the bulk of his money comes from the superrich. And all the while, he yells “slander” with a straight face, and shamelessly conjures up Grandma wishing she could give him more of her paltry income, when asked about the millions in dark money he’s amassing!

We know why the liquor, drug, and tobacco industries invest millions in lobbyists to influence state legislation. But why would major donors invest millions in COS to bring about a convention to rewrite the U.S. Constitution?

The total amount of money spent over the years by the Meckler organizations to trigger a constitutional convention is astonishing. Meckler needs to be confronted everywhere he goes by opponents, supporters, & legislators alike—and asked why he is hiding the fact that he’s working for the superrich. We have a right to know; it’s our Constitution they’re after!

You can download the 990 forms from the accompanying Chart and copy Schedule B, so you’ll have ammo to push back with, the next time Meckler plays the Grandma card.

3. THE NEFARIOUS COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS

The Con-Con movement is a ruse to open the door for special interests to have their way utterly with our Constitution. Most people understand we are being targeted by globalist but have no idea about the foreboding intentions of the Deep State also known as the Council on Foreign Relations who actually states in their own words the following:

  • “Let us face reality. The framers (of the Constitution) have simply been too shrewd for us. They have outwitted us. They designed separate institutions that cannot be unified by mechanical linkages frail bridges (or) tinkering. If we are to turn the founders upside down… we must directly confront the Constitutional structure they erected.” – James MacGregor Burns, Council on Foreign Relations member 1984

  • The whole debate between voting for Republicans or Democrats is a scam. No matter who you vote in, the Council on Foreign Relations conspiracy marches on. The Clinton administration was flooded with Council members just like the Bush administrations before and after him were. The Council on Foreign Relations conspiracy has infiltrated our corrupt officials in the U.S. Government, the Freemason education conspiracy, and the corporate media brainwashing we’ve been exposed to all our lives.” – Liberal columnist Joseph Kraft, himself a member of the CFR
  • “The most powerful clique in these (CFR) groups have one objective in common: they want to bring about the surrender of the sovereignty and the national independence of the U.S.They want to end national boundaries and racial and ethnic loyalties supposedly to increase business and ensure world peace. What they strive for would inevitably lead to dictatorship and loss of freedoms by the people. The CFR was founded for “the purpose of promoting disarmament and submergence of U.S. sovereignty and national independence into an all-powerful one-world government.” – Harpers, July 1958

  • “It is through this front group, called the Council on Foreign Relations, and its influence over the media, tax-exempt foundations, universities, and government agencies that the international financiers have been able to dominate the domestic and foreign policies of the United States ever since.”–  Edward Griffin / The Creature From Jekyll Island

  • In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.In their totality and in their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which demands the solidarity of all peoples. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned namely mistaking systems for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.” – ‘The First Global Revolution’, a Report by the Council of the Club of Rome by Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider 1991.

  • “As the most important United Nations ‘global warming’ summit since the 2015 confab in Paris kicked off in Katowice, Poland, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres (shown) declared that so-called ‘climate action’ offers a ‘compelling path to transform our world.’ Even your ‘mind’ must be transformed,he said. Many other proud socialists, communists, and globalists have also called for using the man-made global-warming hypothesis to transform the world.” And they are not kidding. – Alex Newman  See:  UN Boss: Use “Climate Action” to “Transform World”

  • We are grateful to The Washington PostThe New York TimesTime Magazineand other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto determination practiced in past centuries.” – David Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission and CFR member, in an address to a meeting of The Trilateral Commission, in June, 1991.

  • “Some even believe we (the Rockefeller family) are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”– David Rockefeller, ‘Memoirs’

We know of two current and former members of the Council on Foreign Relations involved with The Convention of States.

Conservative legal heavyweights supporting the Convention of States Project include:

  • Robert P. George (McCormick Prof. of Jurisprudence at Princeton University) – Current CFR Member
  • Ambassador C. Boyden Gray (counsel to George H.W. Bush) – Former CFR Member

 – In Summation –

The absurdity of the Convention pushers’ arguments

By Joanna Martin

They claim we need a Convention so we can get Amendments to “limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.”

But our Constitution already limits the federal government to a few enumerated powers!

Everyone ignores it. The federal government has usurped hundreds of powers not granted by our Constitution because state and local governments, hospitals, businesses, universities, farmers, individual citizens, and everybody else collaborated with the usurpations by taking federal funds to participate in unconstitutional federal programs.

Our Constitution doesn’t need “fixing”—it needs to be read and obeyed: downsize the federal government to its enumerated powers! And stop taking the money!

Their proposed Amendments increase the powers of the federal government by granting new powers, legalizing powers already usurped, or stripping States of their existing powers. E.g.,

HERE are the Nightmare Amendments from “COS’s” first mock convention.

To see how six of Mark Levin’s “liberty amendments” do the opposite of what he claims, go HERE. [His other amendments are just as bad.]

To see how the “regulation freedom amendment” increases federal power and makes gun control by the federal government constitutional, see The “Regulation Freedom” Amendment and Daniel Webster.

No Amendment can make people obey the Constitution: When the federal government usurps powers not granted—and everybody accepts federal funds to participate in unconstitutional federal programs, all of them are ignoring the existing constitutional limits on federal power.

State Legislators who are concerned about federal spending and federal control should stop taking federal money to implement unconstitutional federal programs in their State! – unquote Joanna Martin

Wrapping this up:  Praise be to awakened Glenn Beck and pray that he might somehow in kind awaken duped celebrities and politicos whom are too trusting and not doing the work of vetting the COS.
