Over the last few weeks, a global organization called the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) protested in favor of Palestine.  One event which was held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, by the PSL resulted in about 80 attendees blocking streets while marching in downtown Spokane, Washington shouting slogans in support.  Residents were upset that the Spokane Police Department proactively held up traffic for the protest.

Later, on November 6, 2023, the PSL issued a call to action in support of a free Palestine and asked people to protest and speak at the Spokane City Council to address the Israel/Gaza ongoing war.  After not heeding warnings from the city council to not address city council members by name, multiple people refused to follow the rules of decorum and forced the council to cancel the meeting.

This was a very contentious meeting with citizens arguing and debating the topic.
