True Things Prevail
There’s a weird feeling in the air that doom and despair are about to collide with optimism and hope. It’s a collision that could determine whether the United States survives, and for how long. Four recent events have intensified my feeling that a profound shift is coming to America.
The first event was the sudden emergence of Vivek Ramaswamy onto the political scene by announcing his candidacy for president of the United States. Ramaswamy immediately struck me as something entirely new and fresh, a brilliant, incredibly articulate freedom fighter who boldly describes himself as “the anti-woke candidate.”
While it’s doubtful he can win the Republican nomination this time around, he is sure to light up the debate stage with his razor-sharp mind, awesome speaking skills, and outspoken determination to return the United States to its Constitutional roots and rightful place as the beacon of moral superiority in the Western world.
What makes Ramaswamy especially consequential is his passionate promise to dismantle the FBI, put eight-year term limits on government bureaucrats, and fire 50 percent of federal employees. These are sea-change goals, not the usual trimming around the edges that Republicans like to engage in.
The second event came less than two months after Ramaswamy’s announcement when Donald Trump was indicted, then arraigned, on an absurd campaign finance charge by a Soros-funded district attorney in Manhattan. It was a history-making event, because no former president or sitting president has ever before been indicted.
While it was a gleeful occasion for the clapping seals on the left, a number of liberal news commentators — along with Democrat legal scholars Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley — expressed concern that the country was heading into uncharted territory that could bring unforeseen negative consequences for Democrats. With at least two more possible Trump indictments in the pipeline in Georgia and Washington D.C., there’s a feeling that the Democrats may have crossed the Rubicon and are leading America into an abyss from which it may never return.
The third event was when Robert F. Kennedy Jr. came out of nowhere to announce he was throwing his hat in the ring for the 2024 Democrat presidential nomination. Shades of Uncle Ted running against Jimmy Carter, a failed president who was almost as dismal as today’s Grifter-in-Chief who sometimes occupies the White House.
I harbored an intense dislike for RFK Jr.’s father because of his radical-left political views, though by today’s standards he probably would be considered a moderate. How ironic it is that more than 50 years after Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination I am growing to like his son, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., more by the day.
Kennedy has been absolutely fearless in calling out the corruption in the deep state, Big Pharma, and the perpetrators of the COVID lies that brought the United States to its knees for more than two years. He has even accused Democrats of election interference and promoting government-implemented censorship. Plus — the ultimate heresy — he dares to question the U.S. proxy war in Ukraine.
When a member of the cherished Kennedy clan talks like this, it’s clear that major change is in the air. A lot of Kennedys are undoubtedly rolling over in their graves, but RFK Jr. is unapologetic.
Finally, the coup de gras, Tucker Carlson being abruptly canned by Fox News. Born into a wealthy family and recipient of an elite education at the finest private schools, Tucker, much like Donald Trump, evolved from privileged preppy to America’s favorite TV populist.
Carlson is not only the smartest guy in the room, he’s gracious, brutally frank, hilarious, and, above all, absolutely unbudgeable when it comes to honesty. Unlike most bombshells reported by the media that turn out to be duds, Tucker’s sudden termination by Fox is a legitimate bombshell that is certain to have seismic consequences.
While Vivek Ramaswamy, Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Tucker Carlson are the tip of the spear, rest assured that many others are taking up arms behind them. A few of my favorites include Candace Owens, Charlie Kirk, Enes Kanter Freedom, and Kari Lake, all of whom have the potential to be game-changers.
Tucker has warned many times over the years that you can only push people so far before they rebel. In that vein, consider:
The deep state suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 election … patriotic people being jailed for calmly walking through “the people’s house” while carrying American flags … men being allowed to compete in women’s sports … millions of foreigners being encouraged to enter the United States illegally … people being forced to take an experimental shot that does not protect them from COVID infection or transmission … the military being wussified … the list is endless, and growing by the day.
As I have repeatedly said, one of the Democrats’ biggest weaknesses is that they can’t resist overplaying their hand. As a result, the country’s right-left divide is no longer just political. Rather, it has evolved into nothing less than a war between good and evil. I’ve always been hesitant to use the word evil, because it can be argued that it’s a subjective term, but I am unable to come up with another word that so perfectly describes what is happening in 2023 America.
The reason the Judeo-Christian principles upon which America’s founding was based have been able to survive over the centuries, notwithstanding the relentless attacks from the demonic left, is because they are based on truth, and, as Tucker said in his post-Fox video: True things prevail!
The survival of the United States of America will depend upon how many of its citizens believe this aphorism and have the moral courage to act accordingly. Count me in.
