According to emails obtained by House Republicans, Nancy Pelosi was directly involved in the security failures that led to the January 6 incident at the US Capitol.
Emails Reveal Nancy Pelosi’s Office Was Directly Involved In Security Failures on Jan 6…House Sergeant at Arms Coordinated With Pelosi and Staff, Left Republicans Out of Important Security Discussions
Republican lawmakers Jim Jordan (OH), Troy Nehls (R-TX), Jim Banks (IN), Kelly Armstrong (R-ND), and Rodney Davis (IL) are the five House members who were originally nominated to sit on the Jan. 6 (witch hunt) committee. Now, after being removed by the committee by the wicked witch of the west, Nancy Pelosi, the group has issued a scathing report that exposes the former House Speaker’s role in security and intelligence failures that led to the breach of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Two days ago, the Jan 6 Witch Hunt Committee recommended criminal charges against President Trump over the (likely FBI-planned and directed) “insurrection” at the Capitol. Now Republicans have released their own counter-investigation that blames Nancy Pelosi and the Capitol Police intelligence division for the breakdown and lack of security.
The report concluded, “Leadership and law enforcement failures within the U.S. Capitol left the complex vulnerable on January 6. The Democrat-led investigation in the House of Representatives, however, has disregarded those institutional failings that exposed the Capitol to violence that day.”
Just the News reports – House Republicans have gathered a trove of text and email messages revealing that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office was directly involved in the creation and editing of the Capitol security plan that failed during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot and that security officials later declared they had been “denied again and again” the resources needed to protect one of the nation’s most important homes of democracy.

The internal communications were made public Wednesday in a report compiled by the five Republicans that encompasses the results of months of investigation they compiled with evidence that’s been ignored by the Democrat-led Jan. 6 committee. The lawmakers were authorized by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to do their own probe.
The report concludes the Capitol was left vulnerable on Jan. 6 as a result of failures by the Democratic leadership in the House and law enforcement leaders in the Capitol Police who allowed concerns about the “optics” of having armed officers and National Guardsmen visible to the public to override the need for enhanced security.
“Leadership and law enforcement failures within the U.S. Capitol left the complex vulnerable on January 6, 2021,” the report concluded. “The Democrat-led investigation in the House of Representatives, however, has disregarded those institutional failings that exposed the Capitol to violence that day.”
The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs and the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration conducted a bipartisan investigation in the months after the attack.
On June 8, 2021, the committees released their findings in a joint staff report
From the Final Report Of Investigation:
Security Failures at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021
The report is based on documents and communications obtained from key witnesses and interviews with U.S. Capitol Police leaders and rank-and-file officers.
The report shows then-House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving—who served on the Capitol Police Board by virtue of his position—succumbed to political pressures from the Office of Speaker Pelosi and House Democrat leadership leading up to January 6, 2021.
He coordinated closely with the Speaker and her staff and left Republicans out of important discussions related to security.
As a critical member of the Capitol Police Board, the House Sergeant at Arms had an obligation to all Members, staff, and USCP officers to keep them safe by consulting stakeholders without partisan preference.
But rather than coordinate in a meaningful way, Irving only provided information to Republicans after receiving instruction from the Speaker’s office. In one case, Irving even asked a senior Democratic staffer to “act surprised” when he sent key information about plans for the Joint Session on January 6, 2021, to him and his Republican counterpart. The senior Democratic staffer replied: “I’m startled!”
New York Post reports – Chief Sund begged repeatedly for troops but has testified that Irving rebuffed him over concern about “optics.” During the violence on Jan. 6, Sund repeated his request, but help was delayed until after the riot ended, because Irving needed to run it up the chain of command, a.k.a. Pelosi.
In fact, rather than address these systemic issues, USCP leadership ramped up its intelligence-gathering work as it relates to private citizens who meet with Members of Congress and Senators, including extensive research on private residences and other meeting venues. This investigation found that the information collected against private citizens exercising their constitutional rights with respect to meeting Members of Congress is not, in fact, used for security purposes in some cases. This issue and others require additional scrutiny by the relevant committees of Congress.
