KCRCC Resolution Affirms That The John Birch Society Is a Valuable Organization Dedicated To Restoring The Republic According To The Vision Of The Founding Fathers

WHEREAS the mission of the John Birch Society is to bring about less government, more responsibility, and – with God’s help – a better world by providing leadership, education, and organized volunteer action in accordance with moral and Constitutional principles;

WHEREAS the John Birch Society enthusiastically endorses the U.S. Constitution, and has worked for over 60 years toward educating and activating Americans to abide by the original intent of the Founding Fathers;

WHEREAS the John Birch Society endorses the timeless principles of the Declaration of Independence which proclaimed that our personal rights come from God, not from government;

WHEREAS the Idaho Republican Party expresses firstly in our party platform that we believe the strength of our nation lies with our faith and reliance on God our Creator;

WHEREAS Idaho Republicans, according to our platform, also believe the United States Constitution is the greatest and most inspired document to govern a nation; and

WHEREAS the Coeur d’Alene Press reported that Kootenai County Commissioner Bill Brooks has voluntarily disaffiliated from the Idaho Republican Party in part because the Kootenai Republican Party is tolerant of the John Birch Society:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Idaho State Republican Central Committee affirms that the John Birch Society is a valuable organization that is dedicated to restoring the Republic according to the vision of the Founding Fathers; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Idaho State Republican Central Committee urges Idahoans who do not support our party platform to follow the example of Bill Brooks and voluntarily disaffiliate from the Idaho Republican Party.
