The far-left perverts and fraudsters running the website “Snopes” dishonestly styling itself a “fact-check” operation have shown yet again why they have no credibility among normal people. In a screed released this week, Snopes labeled as “false” a number of stories, including one by FreedomProject Media, exposing a new “Health Education Framework” that promotes gender-bending insanity to kindergarten children. Debunking the lies by Snopes, though, is as simple as going to California’s proposed new “Health Education Framework” and reading it.

In its post, Snopes listed the claim in question as: “In 2019, California education authorities formulated a policy that, if implemented, would force parents to allow their children to be taught that ‘there are 15 genders.’” Unlike previous “fact checks” put out by Snopes, in this case, their summary of the issue, while problematic, at least bears some resemblance to the actual claims being made. However, bizarrely, considering that the evidence of this is posted online on the California Education Department’s website, the phony fact-checking site rated the claims as “false.” Snopes elaborates, saying, “This rating indicates that the primary elements of a claim are demonstrably false.”

But as this piece will show, the primary elements of the claim are demonstrably true, and anyone with an Internet connection can verify that in a matter of seconds from primary source documents. Let’s start with the policy formulation in question, the HEF for Kindergarten through third grade, which can be found on the California Department of Education’s website here. On page 66 of that document, on line 1710, the framework very clearly recommends the “Who Are You? The Kid’s Guide to Gender Identity.” This book outlines, among other absurdities, the notion that there are 15 different genders and that adults must “guess” what gender babies are because babies cannot speak yet. The authors recommend the book for children ages 4 and up.

The same HEF document by California education bureaucrats explains how teachers should introduce sexuality and gender-bending madness to children in kindergarten. “Discuss gender with kindergartners by exploring gender stereotypes and asking open-ended questions, such as what are preferred colors, toys, and activities for boys/girls, and then challenging stereotypes if presented,” it reads. “Throughout this discussion, show images of children around the same age who do not conform to typical gender stereotypes… Simple differences, such as colors or toy preferences, can demonstrate acceptance of gender non-conformity.”

Finally, the last point in Snopes summary of the claim is the notion that parents may not opt their children out of this madness. Again, this is easy to prove, and California’s own education and legal officials have said it publicly. Citing the California Healthy Youth Act, lawyers for school districts last year concluded that parents may not opt their children out of “instruction, materials, or programming that discusses gender, gender identity, gender expressions, sexual orientation, discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, relationships, or family.”

Orange County Board of Education General Counsel Ronald Wenkart made this clear in a memo obtained by FreedomProject: “parents who disagree with the instructional materials related to gender, gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation may not excuse their children from this instruction.”

Officials have posted this online for parents, too. “As stated in Education Code 51932(b), the opt-out provision of the California Healthy Youth Act does not apply to instruction or materials outside the context of sex education, including those that may reference gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, discrimination, bullying, relationships or family,” the Orange County Department of Education explains on its website. This can be verified on the official website here.

In short, every single element of the claim, as summarized by Snopes, can be verified using nothing but official statements and documents put out by California education officials. Put another way, Snopes is lying, and it hopes its readers will be too dumb or lazy to check the facts themselves. That is why FreedomProject media included all links here so that readers can verify the facts on their own.

Snopes took issue with a statement by Duke in which he said the state of California was mandating the gender insanity. But if the Snopes “fact checkers” had watched 20 more seconds of the video, they would have seen Dr. Duke elaborate and clarify exactly what was going on. “The State of California has recommended — and when California recommends something, that means they want it in there — they’ve recommended a book for 5-year olds to begin to comprehend the complicated nature of gender,” he said in the video, which went viral and was viewed by some 4 million people. “As a matter of fact, in this book, you’re teaching 5-year olds 15 different gender variants. The title of the book, by the way, is ‘Who Are You.’” Dr. Duke then proceeded to read some of the “genders” being taught to children using the material, including “trans, genderqueer, non-binary, gender fluid, transgender, gender neutral, agender, neutrois, bigender, third gender, two-spirit,” and so on.

Incredibly, to defend the bizarre screed and the Health Education Framework, Snopes points out that another book is also recommended that does not list a bunch of “genders.” And Snopes suggests there is something nefarious about conservative and Christian outlets not mentioning that one. Indeed, the “fact checkers” suggest that the other book would be seeking to “indoctrinate” children into the idea of two genders — as if children need to be “indoctrinated” to recognize a provable, biological fact. To illustrate how absurd Snopes’ objection is, consider another scenario: California proposes feeding children vegetables and rat poison. To Snopes, it would be wrong to report on the rat poison without mentioning that California children would also be fed vegetables.

This is the second time in less than a year that Snopes has falsely accused FreedomProject of putting out false information. In the last example, the website invented a false straw-man argument, disproved its own phony claim, then pretended like the debunking of the straw-man also debunked the truth. But this dishonesty should be no surprise. A few years ago, the Daily Mail, one of the top newspapers in Britain, exposed one of the two founders defrauding Snopes donors out of $100,000 to pay for prostitutes. One of the newer “fact checkers,” the new “wife” of the alleged fraudster, was a porn star and “escort,” the Mail reported. Meanwhile, the main fact checker, Kimberly LaCapri, boasted on her blog of being a dominatrix in perverted sexual relations known as bondage, domination, sadism, and masochism (BDSM). She also boasted of posting to Snopes while under the influence of drugs. Quite the “fact-checking” team!

There is a reason why Snopes has become a laughing stock even among liberals and progressives. The website and its “fact checkers” have a long and sordid history of dishonesty — giving a pass to leftists, perverts, and evil, while bearing false witness against conservatives, Christians, and others who disagree with their fringe political ideas and their well-documented perversion. And as if to provide more ammunition for critics, Snopes just proved yet again with its latest screed that their reputation is well deserved.
