Outside the Lewis County Courthouse on December 29th – over 600 people rallied to support local businesses and rallied against Inslee’s endless lockdown world – whatever happened to two weeks?
Rally against Governor Inslee – lockdown update for Spiffy’s, Stuffy’s, and Farm Boy Restaurants
By Glen Morgan
I was invited to speak at a rally in support of Spiffy’s Restaurant held at the Lewis County Courthouse on December 29th, during the scheduled hearing with the Thurston County judge (Judge Lanese) who will hold their fate in his hands. Two other restaurants were also supported at this rally – The Farm Boy Restaurant in Thurston County and Stuffy’s Restaurant in Cowlitz County. The Farm Boy had a contempt of court hearing right before the Spiffy’s hearing, with the same judge. Judge Lanese imposed an additional $2k daily fines on them for contempt of court and refusing to comply with Governor Inslee. The Spiffy’s case was essentially delayed for a week. Stuffy’s Restaurant was just served with documents from the Washington State Attorney General’s office.
Over 600 people attended the rally. This number is probably understated because they marched around the courthouse, and a local activist used a hand counter to make the count, and a large number did not join in the march. For a rally like this on a weekday between Christmas and New Year’s Day on a cold day, this was impressive, particularly considering the limited advertisement or announcements. Governor Inslee’s absurd focus on harming small local businesses around the state – particularly in communities who did not vote for him is generating a lot of anger and resentment…

OUR CONSTITUTION BEGINS WITH THE PHRASE “WE THE PEOPLE.” IT WAS THE FOUNDERS’ INTENT THAT GOVERNMENT BE CREATED BY THE PEOPLE, TO SERVE THE PEOPLE. IT WASN’T THEIR INTENTION FOR THE PEOPLE TO SERVE THE GOVERNMENT. IT WAS ALWAYS INTENDED THAT GOVERNMENT WHICH FAILED TO SERVE THE PEOPLE SHOULD BE “ALTERED OR ABOLISHED.” UNTIL WE RETURN TO THE FOUNDER’S INTENT, WE REMAIN WE THE GOVERNED…
