EXCLUSIVE: Three Kootenai Nurses discuss mandatory COVID VACCINES & HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT

Local healthcare workers and other community members attended a two-hour rally for medical freedom near Kootenai Health in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho on December 11, 2021. In the freezing rain and wind, dozens of people gathered with some signs and American flags to promote the right of bodily autonomy.
Kootenai Health’s administration has decided to move forward with a Covid-19 shot employee mandate despite a nationwide court-ordered stay on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’(CMS) interim final rule. This rule was originally the pressure placed on hospital providers to mandate the shot or lose CMS funding. For now, that external pressure is alleviated while multiple CMS lawsuits are pending.
There are other north Idaho healthcare administrators who have chosen to follow the court stay for their individual facilities, including Heritage Health, NW Specialty Hospital, Bonner General Hospital, Shoshone Medical Center, and Panhandle Health District.
